A lot of us go to Las Vegas - Lesa and I will be there for Photoshop World in September - and a lot of us take cabs to and from the airport.
Well, some Las Vegas cabbies have apparently taken to asking you if you want to take the freeway or the streets to your hotel. Freeway sounds faster, doesn't it?
According to this web site, it's a scam. The city streets are significantly cheaper than taking the freeway. Keep that in mind next time you go to Vegas.

Don't believe the hype. Even though it may cost a little more on the freeway, I think bypassing the traffic on the strip may be well worth it.
Just my opinion.
